New guys Ivan Allard and Paul Whitehead hail from the mighty streets of Manchester. Thats pretty much all I know since they are quite quiet on who they are and all that useless information. These guys are trying to fuck heads (I think) and mere knowledge is useless! One more bit of information I have from them is a proper promise that the next tune is going to be huge. Ivan Allard – Mad Again is the upcoming tune (I think).

From Liam Vizzle of Venga fame
Unsigned Demos – JULY CHART
We are receiving more and more demos of late… the quality is very high currently, so please keep on sending!
But I thought it would be a nice thing to recognise the best that we have received.
Maybe they won’t end up on our label, but it is always nice to be up front about your thoughts, and show that we are listening!
So starting this month, all of the demos we receive we will rate in house, and stick the 10 best up at the end of the month with linkbacks to the artist pages!
Theres no such thing as bad PR they say…. and I hope I can help the unsigned masses out there with a bit of a plug now and again if the sound isn’t right for Venga!
So here is JULY top 10. Some good tracks on there, check out their Myspace pages aswell, and show some love

Some new releases here to check out and links to where you can get them. They are all fidget/wonk heaven and certainly made me cream a little. The first is a sample from the PottyMouth label and for the time being is exclusive to Beatport.

The 8 Questions of DOOOOM!
I did a little unofficial feature (not too long back) about these guys and it turns out they really liked it. Here is a proper interview and a full length track for you to shake your fanny to. Yes!
As I said in the last feature Defunct! is made up of Jaksaw and Velox Music.
Jaksaw (Jack)
Hails from Bournemouth, fidget maestro with acclaim from some of the scene greats and is just getting better and better! Easily recognisable style using harsh basslines and unique hooks. Check out his tracks on his myspace.
Slade Templeton from Velox Music

Velox Music is electronic producer Slade Templeton’s solo outting for more of a minimal comfort zone that is still adjoined to the dance floor. It is an emotionally deep and tech-type journey that puts you into that state of “living through the speakers” while you listen. (Stolen from his myspace since I couldn’t describe it better!)
1. What is your most embarrasing pleasure?
Slade - Dancing like a maniac to some radical 80’s choons!
Jack - I’m a bit of a movie geek. Seen Aliens about 50 times! Mmmm….I should get out more.
2. What music were you forced to listen to as a kid?
Slade – The 80’s were the best, nothing forced though
. (please see above)
Jack - Errr…guess my parents were into Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, that sort of stuff.
3. What is the coolest thing you have ever blagged for free?
Slade – Some nice software in the past (in which I don’t use anymore) but now, I always make sure to buy it to help support the maker (otherwise everything would be crap).
Jack – Caught a vinyl thrown out by a major hard dance DJ (who I was a big fan of at the time) at one of the UKs biggest clubs. The record sailed over everyone and came down as if just for me. A never forgotten moment. Everyone else was very jealous.
4. What are your top 3 coolest famous people (at least 2 have to be unrelated to music)?
Slade - (in no specific order)
1) Tim Burton
2) Winona Ryder
3) Danny Elfman
Jack -
1) Johnny Depp
2) Bob Marley
3) Spike Milligan
5. What is the best Venue you’ve played at / partyed at?
Slade – The best venue I have played is probably when I was 16 and was in a rock band we played a stop on Vans Warped Tour and was kind of my break into the music life… I mean, there are other venues that make me think were the best, but, that was my big first step so it meant a lot to me (always pops to mind first)
). I really cant tell you the best place I partied at because it was some underground Drum and Bass club in London… and apparently.. I partied so well… that I do not even remember the name! hah.. it was pure craziness though.
Jack - The best venue was just the other day actually club called “93 ft East” in London. Awesome venue, not the greatest in the booth but a great vibe, great people, great music…..great times!
6. What is your favourite TV theme? (it obviously has to be Powerpuff Girls)
If we are talking cartoons, then I would definitely have to say Courage The Cowardly Dog.
Is it cartoons? Well as a theme I’d have to say the Pink Panther theme is pretty epic!
7. What upcoming tracks are you excited about other than your own?
Slade - Truthfully I need to reach out more… lately I have been in the studio so much all I have heard is my own work or people I am working with. I would be extremely excited to see something from Depeche Mode though (or Dave Gahan atleast)… there has been talk for an 08 release but I have not heard any for sures yet.
Jack - Other than our own…..like Slade says I’ve been so focused on getting our own stuff ready its been hard to take in much else. I’m lovin’ “Stupid Fresh” at the moment they seem to have the magic touch, quirky, jackin’ beats…..Noice! And keep your ears out for “Wonk”, again great new home grown talent. (We’ve got some Wonk coming very soon! Keep your eyes peeled!)
8. Who would you like to work with in the future?
Slade - Anyone that is on the same playing field as us is always fun…they hafta love that filthy bass
… but I agree with Jack too, anything that inspires me is very key in what i’ll take on.
Jack - I’m always up for getting inspired off other peoples take on the house scene. Where ever it goes its all good with me.
Wicked interview by the fellas and we STILL have more for you! Check out this track from the release thats quickly becoming bigtime!
You can check out their new release at Beatport: Wobble and Twitch E.P.

Well since I’m posting one of their tracks and I ashamedly don’t know anything about the Bassbin Twins I’m going to do my research and come back to do a bit of a biog………<researching>………..
Yes! I am ready! Turns out I’ve been missing out big time as these experimental US fellas are actually one guy. Pete Bassbin (real name?). I checked out Beatport and they/he have a ton of tunes to listen to and some of them are really dark, grinding and broody. Some are happier and they all share (bar one) a fucking dark bassline! Kinda in the same field of Tayo and that nasty London sound with a bit of Trouble and Bass to mix in the pot of DOOOM! Luckily I can learn more on the 29th August when they come to the UK and darken our Bassbin depths. GRR!

Anyway time to get sum bangers up
alot of artist keep popping up with different styles of filthy jacking electro / fidget house! its hard to keep on top of things
here are some tracks us here at monstersaysrawr recommend!!
Black Finger – Up Middle Finger(Heavyfeet Remix) [Heavyfeet @ Beatport]
Ctrl Alt Del – Hit My Stix (Micky Slim Club Mix) [Micky Slim @ DJ Download]

I heard on the grapevine that there was a storming remix of Mr Pher’s, Private Jet laying about in the midsts of countless CDs and equipment that at least rivalled Daz the Dominants epic rework. I was confused as to who this remix belonged to and I kind of thought it was one of the many false rumors that pop up. Lo and behold, during my trek amongst the Juno database I come across a Baunz remix of Private Jet. Long story short, check out this bitchin’ remix from the italian hipster!
